El Puerto de Liverpool, S. A. B. de C. a Mexican company that owns one of the chain of department stores with the largest number of branches in the country. Its correct strategic planning has allowed it to remain in the market over time, positioning itself as the leading retailer in the highly competitive industry in Mexico. In this sense, it is important to analyze, through an analysis of the industry and applying the model of the five forces of Michael Porter, the environment of the company and determine which of them have an impact on the firm. As a result, the investigation showed as a result that only two of the five forces of the model have influence on the firm.
