Abstract

Ukraine has shown that it has much to offer to the IT sector in recent years, from the highly skilled workforce of young professionals to an active community of foreign investors and the support of the Ukrainian government.

The country has also developed a system of education, which is about 36,000 graduates in technical specialties per year, which is, of course, perfect for the IT industry. This is supported by a strong professional sector that provides businesses with the full range of services needed to create and develop operations in Ukraine. Ukrainian base of qualified technical engineers allows standing out against the background of Central and Eastern Europe.

Ukraine has the largest and fastest growing number of IT professionals in Europe; it is expected that the number of IT workers will increase to more than 200,000 by 2020.
